Happy Bird Day, etc. BY: Hannah and Kelsey
For Wednesday night fellowship we went inside the action to catch a glimpse of the action behind the fellowship doors of Rachel and Thomas /The Byers's House . We started off with a prayer and recitings of the Old Testament: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth...etc. Kelsey and I saw what no kid had ever seen before. We told our favorite verses like Job 18:5 and Ecclesiastes 7:13. We flipped to where we had last left off which was a few verses past where Cain killed Abel. We started reading about Noah's Ark (dun-dun!) and read and had opinions and questions about the story so far. After that we said prayers and assigned REPORTERS (a.k.a. Hannah and Kelsey ) for the week. We all went to go get snack provided by Brooke which was ice-cream sandwiches shaped like Noah's Ark.A couple of people got a little crazy with the ice-cream and started acting like French-men. Oh yeah! We also had some girls who dressed up in their colonial outfits since today was colonial day!
Thanks to Deb Harwell for a great Slide Show from Colonial Day at Carlisle, November 17, 2004. CHECK IT OUT!!!
